slave of desires. sort of gain little tiny bit of enlightenment on this issue. been working so hard to own something that in actual fact it has become a certain burden. such as buying expensive or branded items. after owning it, how many have actually use it without providing extra care to it. it is supposed to serve us in the way its design for. however owning such stuffs have actually caused us to serve it in a caution way rather than it providing its usefulness. what a shame?

but yet, to have desire is to have motivations in life. i know its contradicting but its the fact that every coin has 2 faces. unless you are a monk, that you have obtain the ultimate level of nirvana. to forgo all the fame, wealth and materials in life. impossible? i believe no, but definitely not the majority of us are able to do so.

how hard are you willing to work for the things that you desire for? or would you rather take it as it is! its definitely a good question to ponder on =)

have been repeating this statement recently, went to reflect and seriously thought through it. 'young generations (like me) of Singapore, are being pampered way too much. sort of implying that we have not experience such intensive level of hardship that our forefathers have had survived through.

it kind of struck to my mind when i thought of the saying 'the builders of the national, our young generation' true enough that in time to come, Singapore will be depending on us for break through, or at least maintain at the current standard of living. indeed, we are the ones who are experiencing the break through from all this years of transforming and evolution to the current stage of living that we are enjoying now. are we continuing to enjoy such privilege and taking such current state of living for granted? yes, government will definitely do their part and will not allow or sure enough continue to allow Singapore to progress and prosperous. to what extent is this degree of progress and prosperous going to be?

it can happen basically on 2 factors. 1) depend on our current young generations to contribute to the society in an appropriate way or 2) intensive importing of foreign talent. which are available abundantly. theoretically would be of cos, by option 1). people are a country's huge and important resource. i believe no one, not even a single soul would want an imported talent who is 'going' to complete with us for a job. here comes the 1 million dollar questions, how much are we going to work hard for to maintain such prosperous state of living we are having now?

SHINGZ! the erosion of our moral values and upbringing. im not implying that parents or school are not doing a good job for this. but comm'on, the earth is moving evry seconds on the clock. what works in the past are not true to work now. we have got to keep up with the pace.

the world doesn't just involves you and only you. its evolves around you and your surrounding environment. consideration and courtesy, what i believe to keep earth a great place to live in. comm'on we are the high civilize of human kind. there is definitely way much space to improve on this 2 factors.

alright, i know there are way many factors that can bring about good character building. but i aint gonna drill on it further. just simply wanna bottle out my thoughts.

perhaps its the culture shock i experienced when traveling. see travel is an eye opening to a whole new array existence in this world that we are stepping on right now! there are so much things happening right now, what about you?
